How It Works

Our K Rendering Process

From your first call to the finished render, here is how we deliver a smooth, fully managed job from start to finish.

1

Free Site Survey

We visit your property and assess the existing walls, surface condition and substrate. This tells us exactly which render system suits your home, and it is free with no obligation.

2

Fixed-Price Written Quote

You receive a detailed written quote covering materials, labour, scaffolding and waste disposal. The price we quote is the price you pay.

3

Surface Preparation

Loose, blown or cracked render is removed and the substrate is cleaned and primed, so the new render bonds correctly and lasts its full expected lifespan.

4

Render Applied

Our team applies the chosen render system in the correct coats and thicknesses, fitting beads and trims for clean edges and reveals.

5

Finishing & Texture

Once the base coats are set, the final coat is applied to your chosen texture and colour, giving a seamless wall finish with no visible joins.

6

Inspection & Warranty

We walk around the property with you to confirm the finish is right, then issue your written workmanship warranty before we leave site.

Signs Your Property Needs Rendering

Render problems do not fix themselves. Cracked or blown render lets water into the walls, so if you spot any of the signs below it is worth a free inspection.

K Rendering FAQs

K rend and monocouche rendering typically costs £35 to £55 per m². A full house render on a standard 3-bed semi costs £2,500 to £5,000, and a larger detached property £4,500 to £8,000. We give a fixed-price quote after a free survey. For an independent benchmark, see the Checkatrade rendering cost guide.
K rendering refers to the Weber K rend system, a premium monocouche through-coloured render applied in a single coat. Unlike sand and cement render, it comes pre-coloured and needs no painting. It is breathable, weatherproof and UV stable, so the colour stays consistent for 20 to 30 years without fading or peeling.
K rend is a factory-mixed monocouche system, pre-coloured, applied in one coat and more flexible than traditional sand and cement render. Sand and cement is cheaper upfront but more prone to cracking and needs repainting every 5 to 7 years. K rend lasts 20 to 30 years with little maintenance, so it is usually more cost-effective over its lifetime.
A standard 3-bed semi-detached property takes 3 to 5 days to render. Larger detached properties take 5 to 8 days, including surface preparation, application and finishing. We give you a clear start date and daily schedule before work begins.
Most external wall rendering is covered under Permitted Development and does not need planning permission. Properties in conservation areas, listed buildings or Article 4 areas may need consent, which we check for you as part of the free survey. For guidance, see the Planning Portal exterior walls guidance.
When correctly applied to a properly prepared surface, K rend and quality monocouche renders typically last 20 to 30 years. The colour is integral to the render, so it does not fade, peel or chalk like painted render. A wash down every few years is all that is needed to keep it looking fresh.
We are based in Hayes, Hillingdon, which puts us well placed for West, North-West and South-West London including Ealing, Hounslow, Harrow, Uxbridge, Brent, Hammersmith, Fulham, Richmond, Kingston, Merton and Wandsworth. Get in touch to confirm coverage for your postcode.
